How to Arrange Your Sound System Onstage Part 2

Subwoofers:

Subwoofers are not really that important but if you can squeeze it in to your sound equipments rental budget, adding them could add a rich and deep texture to your sound. Adding them for your event creates a big a noticeable difference.

Sound Amplifiers:

As for sound amplifiers, any brand will do so long as the output sounds okay to you. For the best type of amplifiers, you can ask people for advice or you can get help from your sound equipments rental provider. They are experienced in this field thus they will be a great technical support for you.

Just remember these specifications as your guide in choosing amplifiers. For big sessions, consider 1 to 2 watts as minimum amplification per person; for a 500 person audience, consider at least a 500 watt amplifier. For live music such as live bands, try 8 to 10 watts of amplification per person.

Mixing Consoles:

For your mixing consoles, channel capacity and brands do not matter. You can use any equipment but the only important thing to consider is the operator. If you want to operate the console, be sure to know what to do and that you actually have an experience doing it. If not, you can count on the IT solutions provider to suggest their technical support.

In using the right kind of mixing consoles, for example you only have two microphones and an apple computer or iPod; an 8-channel console will be fine. If you have more audio sources then that's when you need to use a larger one.
