Cleaning the keyboard may take time depending on the intensity of dirt that gets stuck in it. Vacuum cleaner that is especially made for peripherals and tiny hardware such as a can of air is a great help in cleaning your keyboard. A can of air is like an aerosol containing a concentrated air. It has a long thin straw that serves are the passage of air. You can use it as a blowing device to clean out dusts and other hard to remove debris.
